Hobo Party

Usually when going to a party one puts on your best clothes, spend hours doing your hair and make-up and if it turns out to be a rainy day you worry about getting mud on your shoes or your perfect do turning frizzy!

Not with this party! Winston's twenty first birthday party was anything but fancy. In fact we were encouraged to wear our oldest dirties rags and the rain just added to the ambiance. The theme: HOBO

Nico, Christiaan and Dirk, the look suited them! :)

Dirk won the prize for best looking hobo!

This was the first time ever that I went to a party without a stitch of make-up! All in the name of Themed Partieis! And the shoes were Nico's late Granddad's 'vellies'.

Winston greated his guests at the door with this classic Leon Schuster FLASH!


His sister, Bernice went all out and wore this designer number including a matching purse!
Bernice won best dressed female hobo!

This is Winston and his family.... and the most important part of any outfit, their shoes!


The tables had paper 'table cloths', newspaper runners, snacks in paper bags, the candle holders are empty brandy bottles and the champagne glasses were tin cups. Stylish!
It was fun dressing down for a dress up party!
